I spent years reporting the news. Now I write the stories underneath it: comedies, dramas and thrillers about power, fame, race, culture and the moments we’re all still making sense of.

I’m a journalist with 15+ years in news, from NPR and local broadcast to Axios Live. I’m also a storyteller, audio producer, director, screenwriter and the occasional actor. I trained in sketch at UCB, and in 2020, as stages shut down, I founded Iron Gates Media to tell stories about people like me, the ones still missing from today’s media.
Now I’m building a slate of short films and a micro drama, and I’m looking for collaborators who want to make work that’s sharp and means something.
Iron Gates Media means three things. It begins with my name, and I don’t lend it to anything I won’t stand behind. It lives in the gate itself, wrought from iron, built to hold the line and outlast the hands that forged it, because I’m not here for a moment but for something that endures. And it rests on an old proverb, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another,” a reminder that no blade finds its edge alone in a drawer, only in meeting another. So bring your edge, and let’s sharpen each other into work that lasts.
Let’s make something.
